SMALL STEPS ARE IMPORTANT
I was scrolling Instagram last night and came across this quote stating “The journey of a thousand miles begins with one step.” Lao Tzu. Then I started writing this blog to share my experience on the importance of the small steps.
Many people think that they can achieve long-term goals with only big steps. But practically it's not necessary and not mandatory to take long steps. And also I came across this statement stating that "Every crore count starts with a single penny" and literally I felt that. There is a lot of importance in taking small steps while achieving the long-term goal.
And in these small steps, the very first step makes all the difference and creates a great impact on how your remaining steps are going to be. The first step marks a decision, a new direction; it declares that we will go forward despite our fears or self-doubt. The first step gives us momentum and belief in our project, whether it's starting a personal hobby, blog, or an entirely new business. Every huge project or work will look smaller if we break them into small pieces. If you are planning a long-term goal, just have short-term goals. Because if you achieve those small steps, your confidence will boost up and you will achieve those remaining steps more confidently.
We can take our body as a live example. Because we will take bulk and heavy food materials into our bodies. Our digestive enzymes work on it by breaking down that bulky food material into small ones and digesting them. Using the same process, if we break down our complex tasks into small ones we will also complete those tasks most efficiently and also sometimes in a quicker way.
Small steps can lead to a good cycle of success breeding success as you establish habits, hit mini-goals, and note your progress. This increases confidence and motivation, making it easier to stay in it for the long haul. Life is an exciting journey but the things we want are rarely if ever, handed to us on a plate. We have to work towards them, and we start by taking one single, small step. That step may frighten or terrify us, but that's OK.
